A non musician analysed Kierans themes. Part 1

Alrigth, if you know me that much, you know that alongside my obsession whit writing and fanfic and reading, I am a music fan and a videogame ost sucker.

I love to find narratives in music despite the only music concept I actually know is the leitmotiv. I'll probably just point out things you already know , but this is a good procrastination to avoid write a little.

Kieran's first battle theme

The two leitmotifs this "medieval " banger has actually pop up in the first 5 seconds we hear.

Leitmotivs

1- The first thing we hear are some fast notes that get played in a synth. This is at least for me a leitmotif since last battlr chanpion battle have a similar start that uses the same notes just re-organized.

This one migth simblize hus anxiety, at least 4 me, since its a fast and ascending thing

2- After that we got met whit a violin,that starts playing an intro melody, this one is also a leitmotiv since we can hear the same exact melody in "Kierans rage" and some times later.

This one represents hia joy or and passion of battling at least 4 me

Things worth pointing out

There are some things I find interesting overall due to the stage of the characther when he battles using this theme.

1- Also if we check Carmine's theme we hear how it starts whit this exactly same way, the first aynth notes are exactly the same and then the exact following violin melody its played except its played in a synth, in a sligthly slowet tempo and another tone

I find interesting how we hear Carmine's theme first, what makes this "Kieran is under Carmine's shadow" thing even more evident. We will think "Kieran's theme starts like Carmine's" and not "Carmine's theme starts like Kieran's"

The similarities make sense since this is the Kieran that's under Carmine's shadow the most. He starts pullin her away and that's when the similarities start to fade

Afther that the rest of his themes doenst start up exactly like Carmine's, and the 2nd leit motiv i pointed out its just used again in the champion theme

2- I cant help but find this theme so medieval like, so fairytaily like. If you tell me this is a battle ost for a Dungeons and Dragons like game, I would buy it completely. You can imagine the goblings, gremlings, dwarfs and obviouslythe ogres. I dont know exactly if its the instruments choice or the melody building but I can't help but notice it

All the characther lore is based on his love for "fantastic stories" , Kitakami folklore and the ogre. This is just accurate. The flute alongside the violin feel like just the rigth option to bring me that fairyteily feeling

3- Well, I also can't help but notice haow alongside fantasyous, it feel heroic. The xilophone? giving the cheerful rhythim Alongiside the flute for the higthest tones, the piano for deepnes and the epic sounding violin make this feel like following the story of some sort of knigth.

By example: 0:36. (Or the chorus) sounds kknda almigthy

He thinks he can be the hero in the story. And damm that feeling is potrayed in the sound and tome of the song.

4- I would also like to point out how the violin takes all the stage, that could be seenn as something that just fits due to the medieval and heroic demenaurs. But the final outcomes and portrayals of the instrument in the later themes makes me want to point it out as something deeper.

Taking in mind how the violin turns put it could simbolize how he sees the MC or the ogre. You can see how the insttument sounds heroic epic and hopefull in this theme. And considering how he looks up yo both the oc and ogerpon makes it so interesnting

I Hope you enjoyed this! In no-that-much time I'll bring ya the one for the two themes left. Im lookin foward to the champion theme as its the more juicy to analyse

I was avoyt to make all the analysis in one huge poat but seeing how this one is already big that shit would be so so big and messy

This is also a good way to make it out for my lack of content this time since my one shot came out a month and half ago

A beautiful Nightmare or Terrible Dream

I'm gonna tell you here and now that this is just some self-indulgent shit I decided to do. My friend recently uncovered an fma fic from 4 years ago that I wrote on wattpad, and I thought the style low-key had potential so here we go! Ideally this will become a regular feature to kinda fill the space during my writing dry spells, I hope that if you guys like it to make it a little more interactive. Like I'll start polls that are like "should we get closer to kirishima or Bakugou?" "Should our quirk be better for head-to-head combat or for support/stealth?" Dear Diary,

So I know it's been a hot-minute since I've written to you, but honestly it never really seemed like a worthwhile thing to do? I figured all that talk about how writing about your feelings calmed you down and helped you focused was just bs that people said to force you to write more. However, I've just been placed in what can only be described as the most absolutely fucked situation any person has ever been in since the creation of life on earth. Sounds like a bit of an exaggeration? No. Not one fucking bit. Because I, [First Name] [Last Name], have just been body slammed into a whole goddamned new dimension. Sounds crazy, I know, but guess what I know I'm in a new dimension because I read about it. Not like I read theories about the multiverse and like actual scientific research on things like this. I mean that I literally read a manga about this place.

That's right diary, I'm in an anime world. I know I spent like most of my teenage years dreaming about this exact scenario. I'm transported into another world with a ton of cute guys and they instantly fall for me because I'm wonderful and blah blah blah. The reality is that if you go from casually laying in bed taking a buzzfeed quiz about which high school musical character you are to suddenly laying in the street while a sludge monster is shoving himself down Katsuki Bakugou's throat, you get just the tiniest bit stressed.

And by that I mean YOU START SCREAMING LIKE A GODDAMNED FOOL AND ONLOOKERS STARE AT YOU AND YOU CANT STOP BECAUSE ITS SO STRESSFUL AND YOURE IN PAJAMAS!!!

And then ALL MIGHT come through and hes like "HAHAHA NEVER FEAR BECAUSE IM HERE HAHA LEMME PUNCH THAT SLUDGE" And you're like HOLY F U C K

Because what else do you do when you see All Might?

I ended up following All Might (not gonna tell his real name just in case I lose you) home. I tried to explain the situation and he seemed hella hesitant (he definitely thought I was crazy, there's no doubt) until I started dropping spoilers about what he was in town for, why hes teaching, about his quirk, easy stuff nothing to ruin the plot though. The author has a plan for the series and its a good one, I'm not trying to wreck it, even under such fucked up conditions.

But yeah, long story-short I'm now staying with All Might as his "niece" from abroad. Also we're gonna see if this dimension travelling gave me a quirk, because really anything is possible.

I'll definitely write again soon

Dirt : i lived for realism as a child, so one time i made dirt and leaf tacos and proceded to take a bite out of one of them as i played pretend, i did not enjoy it but also didnt regret it <3

Concrete?? Idk actually but there were these little rocks in my grandma's backyard that you could kknda chip away at??? Looked like concrete at least 🤷🏻‍♀️

Talcum powder: took a big ole chug at a bottle of this when i was little, i couldn't breathe and it dried my troath horribly so i couldnt speak for a lil while either, DON'T TRY THIS!!!

Chalk: it fascinated me how it absorbed water , so of course i put it in my mouth (also cause im a dumbass <3)

Several fences and metal surfaces! idk what was wrong with me as a ckild ok!! I licked a lot of random stuff :/

I was born with pale(ish) skin- basically white. when I look in the mirror i see a Pale white person. snow white was my favorite disney princess (and my 7th birtjday was snow white themed) because id look at her and go "she judt like me fr!!! :D" cuz like shewas white so was I!!!!!!!!!!!!!! snd then (something that happened WEEKS ago but that still shook me) i learnt that i might Not be white. according to uhh usa I think standarts. its apparently according to ancestry or soemthibg?????? abd heres the thibg . mu teacher said was basically "so its based on ancestry- so if u have a relative who is of color so are u" (i definitely got aome detaiks wring bc Im just going off of my memoru for thia an also becasue I kknda just woke up)) And i do hsve a black relative (my dad). so does that mske. me black?? and ehre my whole worldvieew cillapsed becaaise like. the color of my skin is FAR from black its not even brown. like I guess I have like slightly fuller lips than like my mom but im still Really white yanno!!! an i Mean i probaby have/had a lottt of black relatives . oh can DEFINITELY relate to loving sleep over needing to engage with a hyperfix/SI, the receipt thing did that one other time when my computer restarted but i couldn't figure out how to fix it back then lol. VERY exited to get back to acting, i haven't auditioned for anything in like 2 years 😭. and yeah, driving test! it's on the 17th, hoping and praying to finally have my license soon

yeah luckily i get a 15 minute break for a 4 hour shift so i used it to walk 400 ft to my house and change ahjdjddh, but i'm glad i did cause being overloaded at work is a nightmare cause it usually makes me less verbal and i kknda need to talk to patrons

So updates....

I got my vaccine and it only hurt a little and the whole line I was watching a movie I downloaded on Netflix and then I got really nervous when we were getting closer but it was pretty fast once we were inside

Only now I feel my arm a little heavy and kknda numbed. But the good thing is I had a chemistry test today and the school asked ríe teaches to not do evaluations this week so I don't have it anymore YEY!!

I only hope it doesn't hurt a los later but I will take some meds. Jsjsjsjs
